Fig. — A story · Fiction

The Mission.

A horror film in four chapters, about an engagement that went the way they go: a tender answered with forty-seven slides, a senior who was twenty-three, a dashboard that stayed green, a go-live that rolled back at three in the morning onto a backup from the tender. Any resemblance to an actual engagement is statistically likely. No company, no client, no person: the numbers are invented.
